Almost like a ITV/BBC TV-mystery, except it's Indian. A Hindi murder case Agatha Christie-style with a gathering of suspects at the end. Enjoyable, but I didn't feel it gained the suspense level it had the potential of reaching. But definitely not the worst time spent in front of the TV.
Based on a highly sensational case that shocked India, Rahasya is a whodunnit thriller on the lines of those cynical Agatha Christie mysteries which is only enjoyable in parts due to the weak execution of its resolution part where the whole mystery is revealed. The suspense about the perpetrator keeps you guessing till the end and the motive behind the crime works, but the same can't be said for how the perpetrator developed that motive to kill which was left unanswered in a vague manner with too far-fetched, implausible twists, all which the director decides to reveal only in the end all at once, throwing very little clues around.

However, when a director known for making his debut with the spine-chilling The Stoneman Murders comes up with a suspense flick, one is bound to sit up and take notice and Rahasya is one such film that commands your attention. 2ff7e9595c
